what is astrology

So what is astrology and what do astrologers do? In her brilliant manual The Essential Guide to Practical Astronomy: Everything from Zodiac Signs to Predictions Made Easy and Entertaining, one of my mentors, April Elliott Kent, puts it this way: "Astrology is the study of connection between the phenomena of celestial activity and astronomical events... Astronomers are those who practice astrology.” Satta king

These global events can include career, relationship, and fitness information in your weekly or monthly horoscope. The most reliable of these columns are written by professional astronomers who do their best to explain how the current movements of the planets affect you based on where the planets were when you were born.

Professionals also use the movement of the planets to explain or even predict current events, social trends, financial markets. And we can take a deeper look at your personality or your compatibility with others based on your personal astronomy - that's your natal chart. Charts are also used to investigate the characteristics and outcomes of events, such as marriage or an election.

what do the planets mean

Every celestial body in our solar system has a purpose in astrology.

If you look at your own personal astrology (more on that in a minute), each planet or luminary (the sun and the moon) offers insight into different parts of your personality and life. For example, your sun sign speaks to your sense of identity and self.

But if we're talking about what signal a planet or luminary is currently moving, we could be characteristic of a particular month. For example, you may hear how from July 22-23 to August 22-23 (sign start and end dates vary from year to year), the sun in Leo, a fire sign symbolized by the Lion, offers larger. confidence and inspires bold action.

The basic symbolism for each of the major planets, luminaries, and points in the sky:

Sun: Confidence, self-image, self-esteem, self-esteem and identity.

Moon: The emotional compass of the zodiac, shaping a sense of safety, security, values, intuition.

Mercury: The messenger planet, which oversees intelligence gathering, research, and communications.

Venus: The planet of love and beauty influences passions, relationships, pleasures, art, money.

Mars: The go-ghetter planet is all about how you measure up, your energy, your sexual expression, and your courage.

Jupiter: the planet of luck and abundance.

Saturn: a planet of rules, borders, limits, discipline.

Uranus: planet of change, rebellion, breakthroughs, sudden events.

North and South Nodes: These mathematical points on a graph are always opposite each other. (They are currently in Gemini and Archer, perhaps as a result of early or past life experiences.

Sign of Rebellion / Antiquity: It is considered the sign that ascends the eastern horizon at the time of its ascension or ancestor. It talks about the image you show in the world and gives an idea of   your skills, talents and strategies you could take to make your way in life.

Some astronomers also use Chiron, a comet that orbits Saturn and Uranus, the dwarf planet Ceres, and asteroids like Pallas, Vesta, and Juno.
